As someone who was raised that way, it was mostly fine but there's only one piece of advice I'd definitely give - Really fucking encourage your kids to socialise, even if you're shit at it yourself. If everyone shares the same Y haplogroup in a population, there are still going to be attractive and unattractive men, no matter how good their ancestors are. Genetics is a roll of the dice, and mutations make it even more random.
