Wait a second
This doesn't make sense
If everyone's super, then EVERYONES super. Nobody stops being super.
Kind of stupid.

A major theme in the Incredibles is how so society essentially celebrates mediocrity by portraying everyone as great and stifling real greatness.

If that was his goal he could have sold his tech years ago.
If having super powers when nobody else does is the only thing that makes you special, then you deserve to sink to the bottom when everyone has them. It's like being the only person who can walk on the island of the paraplegic. If you immediately become a worthless piece of shit the moment everyone can walk again, then you were always a piece of shit.
That said, Mr. Incredible would still be a hero even in Syndrome's world, so that's why Syndrome was wrong. Also the murders.

It's a fucking terrible message and given Brad Bird said in an interview "nu-uh I'm not an objectivist, I briefly liked Ayn Rand as a teen but then outgrew it" he's either lying or didn't put any thought into what ideas it would get across.
Hell even from a selfish Randian perspective it's bad and doesn't make sense; how the hell is it wrong for people to use technology to replicate inborn super powers? If anything that just creates more healthy competition for the existing "supers".
I enjoyed the movie, it was charming and fun, but that whole aspect was dumb as shit.

It's like saying that the invention of cars was bad because people who can run fast won't feel special anymore

I'm not into capeshit but Incredibles is without a doubt Pixar's best movie.
Unless you are an autist that cried at the end Toy Story 3 or the beginning of UP
