>Well, not yet, but DC Comics’ original Fastest Man Alive appears to be the star of Jason Fabok’s lenticular cover for May’s “The Flash” #22, the final chapter of the series’ anticipated crossover with “Batman,” titled “The Button.” The four-part event kicks off in April’s “Batman” #21 and finds the Dark Knight teaming with the Flash to unravel the puzzle of a mysterious blood-splattered smiley face button found by Batman in the wall of the Batcave in last May’s “DC Universe: Rebirth” one-shot.

The thing is that the guy posted the pages without real context so we basically only knew Wally was back and that Watchmen was coming to DC. Obviously everyone was happy about the first half and many were concerned (and still are, of course) about the second. A few hours after that DC lifted their review embargo so the comic sites published spoiler reviews directly stating the order of events and all with more context and then it was full hype mode.

My crack theory is that nu52 RF is Zolomon possessed by Thawne, similar to how Barry was possessed by Thawne during the Kid Flash of Two Earths issue.

In general, if you've read the entire run, he holds up well. Almost everyone in Earth 2 hasn't been treated well, some for no reason at all. For example, turning Jimmy into a villain.

The change from status quo was making him into this techno path with the internet and information, and thus something the government feared, which then for some reason mingled with a mother box, which are supposed to be connected to The Source. Thus, having him turn out evil was just another example of a writer saying,

Besides, in the New 52, they made it clear that traveling from one universe wasn't as easy as it used to be, thus all the fuss and bother about the Crime Syndicate coming to the main universe from Earth 3, etc.

The button jacket was nice and the classic logo, and it went well with the sort of Art Deco flavor they gave to all the CGI glimpses we got of E2. The problem was the colors were no very vibrant (although they did seem to shoot all those scenes in a sort of sepia filtered way).

It was explained in the Rebirth one-shot by Johns. There's a version of them on Earth-0 who have lost their memories due to Johnny Thunder's genie. Earth-2 was separate pre-Flashpoint and likely will remain separate.

Multiversity stated that there were other multiverses in existence and the map (which is still canon since its designations were used in a Rebirth Superman arc) only showed the local 52 Earths. If there's a golden age JSA it's in a different multiverse but not related to the current one nor what they'd do with the JSA on Earth-0.
