In all honesty Dynamite books aren't God awful, they are just mediocre. Dynamite has a really bad habit of paying a lot of money to get high quality talent on the first few issues then dropping them and letting the book coast.

Could we talk about the comic instead of controversy-baiting? I thought this particular drama-fest was done with a few days ago already.

Cornell's first Vampirella issue was weird and not at all what I expected. It reminded me of a euro sci-fi comic and also of an old 2000AD comic called Durham Red. There's a bit of super kitschy sci-fi like Logan's Run in there too. I'm going to keep reading regardless of some cover spat.
