That's a pretty good starting point for a new series regardless. That way they can give this series more of its own feel by not recycling old wu constantly. Things like Jet Bootsu, Monkey Staff, and Two-ton Tunic have all been pretty played out.

No, I agree, it was just terrible. The 3D was completely pointless, and was just jarring since not only was everything else was traditionally animated, but the CGI was also considerably worse then the traditional animation.

Even in her first scene as a ghost she's much bigger and she doesn't emote at all while talking.

There were probably a huge amount of creative differences between the creator, director, writers and executives which kept influencing everything.
