I bring it up because there are two things that bother me about Pink Diamond: She wanted to save humans, her association with flowers (specifically roses). I mean even if we ignore the obvious pink metaphor, her symbol is very reminiscent of the star that the Crystal Gems use.

I always thought the Rose = Pink Diamond theories were nonsense, but there's something here. If she's not Pink Diamond, then there's far more to the story than she merely killed her. What if Pink Diamond was never a villain to begin with?
