I liked every arc thus far a lot better reading once completedthough I'm in the minority of those who loved I Am Suicide the whole way through, it appears.

i didn't like em as a whole but individual issues had good moments. #9 where he's putting together the squad is rad, and I liked the ventriloquist-psycho pirate moment in #13
my ultimate problem with this run so far is that it feels more story than character based. Same problem as snyder's run, except this one lacks any kind of emotional tact. Everything Batman does and says seems cold and emotionless, and I get no sense of a unique King-take on Batman but rather an empty slate. This is the first time in a long time where batman hasn't felt like batman imo
question - was that actually batman's sidekicks hanging from nooses in the batcave?
I hate that it's still all about Gotham Girl, Snyder got way more shit for pushing his OCs way less

no cuz if you read issue #17 they're in superman's fortress of solitude in stasis for their own protection
it was more bane "sending a message" so to speak

The problem in my opinion isn't writers pushing their own new characters. It's that their characters don't undergo any natural hazing or resistance to become part of the bat-family. They're simply granted membership into this ultra VIP exclusive bat-family because the writer said so. On top of that, duke and harper for instance seem entitled as all fuck.

she still has hair in my head canon
