That's actually intentional, Season 2 was absolutely crammed with Lightsaber fights, against the Inquisitors, Maul and even Vader.

They wanted to take a step back and re-establish the regular Empire as a threat again. Lightsaber fights become meaningless if there are too many of them.

But they've already confirmed more Inquisitors exist, so Kanan and Ezra will get to fight for real soon enough

That's a reasonable enough conclusion.

Technically, ESB might be the most well-made movie in the series.

But a Star Wars fan has a lot of love for the worldbuilding, character drama and conclusions, iconic imagery, ect.

It's why Star Wars fans, and even Pablo Hidalgo, tend to praise the Prequels over TFA, despite TFA on a technical level, could be considered a better made movie. Or at least, more polished regarding writing and modern visuals.

ESB vs ROTJ is the same concept. What does this add to Star Wars vs What is technically the "better" movie.

ESB added a tremendous amount to Star Wars of course, no denying that. But it lacked in a lot of core Star Wars iconography, like a good space dogfight, a triumphant victory, hell there was barely any intelligent aliens in ESB outside of Yoda and the Ugnaughts.

A VERY good take. While I'm not entirely pleased with the PT, I will watch them if they are on TV and I have the time. So far the only SW movies I've only seen once are RO (was going to take my Dad to it after Christmas for my second viewing but plumbing problems at my parents place interferred) and TFA, which I own on Bluray but now view that purchase as questionable at best.

I wonder what the writers of Rebels, and especially those who worked on Clone Wars think about Rey.

Ashoka is just... red butt cheeks aside, she encapsulates how I feel about Clone Wars as a whole.

Really didn't care for it at first. And that's worse than hating it, imo. Not caring is worse, and I didn't care. But I kept watching, and slowly but surely she grew on me. Once it got to the end and she actually refused to go back to the order I was on the edge of my seat.

KOTOR II expanded on this further. Talking about throwing up emotional mental blocks so the force users can't get a read on you. Using dirty tactics and behaving irregularly.

The warrior culture stuff was just too much. It's okay in some instances. Some writers handle it well, others not so much.

I'd have preferred it not to have been. Anakin's homeworld could have been literally anywhere else, which would have spared us Tatooine in TPM and possibly even in AOTC unless they used it as just a random world to hide out on instead of it being a specific destination so Anakin could have his mommy issues resolved, which could have been done on another world just as readily. Tatooine has been a crutch in this franchise for far too long and I'm hoping we never see it again once Rebels gets done with it.
