I just got an unconditional offer for an animation course a couple months ago based entirely on my portfolio, i've had nothing but positive feedback from my work, and I have plenty of ideas In my head raring to go. The tutors I'm going to work with each had their own animation company, and hopefully I'll be able to go up from there.

No I'm not there yet but it's a decent start I'd say. You won't believe how satisfying it is to actually go for your goals instead of wallowing in misery.
