>that sudden pang of nostalgic melancholy when you realize you're an adult and just don't have the time to watch as many cartoons or read as many comics as you used to, and even if you did the age where people really gave a shit about either is pretty much over and past their respective golden age, financially and creatively
>tfw slowly start losing your hobbies until they only become a thing you occasionally look back into to see the state of things
>don't even have anything to show for it like a family, you're just a busy fucking adult, your a fucking souls salaryman your kid self would have been horrified by, and you really can't remember the last time you felt that thing that made comics and cartoons magical and gave you that fucking feel of looking into another world, a better world, and stories of what could be and of legitimate passion and love and awe
>and it's all been tossed away for dumb commercialism and politics
Fuck
Fuck fuck fuck
God, show me something to bring me back, /co/, it's all so grey now

Switch to /jp/a/m/ material. I had the same feeling of stagnation and /co/ was my saviour. Should work both ways.
If not, jack off and shitpost in /tv/.

Let's get this feel party started
>>90020199
Start watching/reading obscure shit
>>90020263
i second this. psychedelics can have useful properties for figuring out stuff like this.
>>90020199
Don't worry, OP. No matter how busy you get, there's always something out there that you haven't seen yet that may reignite the spark. You may have to do a little research in the time you have to yourself, but it'll be worth it to find something obscure you really love.
And I'm not talking just indie comics, or even comics at all. Pick up novels, or a model kit, or anything that piques your interest. Maybe you may just need to try something different before your passion returns.
>>90020284
You are not helping.
>be art fag
>animation is your true passion
>trying to get a steady comics gig for the money, I like them too, but I really want to make animation
>realize that no matter what comics will always have more creative freedom and that animation is stuck in a ghetto and even if I did manage to get the time and money to make animation, at best ir would be a flicker in the dark before everything goes back to fucking stupid kid shows and the occasional show for stoners
It's not even about making art, it's about being able to make something at all, it fucking hurts, man. I fucking love animation and I know it can be so much more than it is in the west and I'm trying my fucking hardest to make it work with a small team of people who just want to make cartoons too, but there's always such little time and other things keep taking up priority.
You gotta keep fucking trucking and doing what you gotta do and what you love, though, anything else is death.
Sad thing is I stopped regularly watching cartoons or reading comics ages ago and it sucks.
