Star is the kind of show that balances between silly and serious, especially in seasons 1B and 2B. It's the kind of show where you came for the premise but stayed for the development and plot progreesion.

There is one. Becomes obvious at the end of the 8th full episode, which leads to a big season finale that defines the plot of the entire second season.

Yeah, some of the first episodes really do feel like one-offs, but things from them are important.

If you've watched a couple episodes and still aren't sure, but like the potential or want to see what the plot feels like, check out the season finale, maybe. It's connected to earlier episodes so I don't exactly recommend doing that except as a last resort if you feel you're being bullshitted about the DEEP LORE

It's a pretty cute cartoon, although it's not on the same level as GF and it's different from SU.

It has a plot but I noticed during season 2 the writers really forgot what was going on and just grabbed random shit BUT from the past 5 recent episodes it actually looks pretty promising again so fingers crossed.
