How many adult jokes "hidden" in kids cartoons flew over your head when you were a kid?
>inb4 fingerprints
Probably all of them. We were all innocent once.

I hated this episode of Pinky & the Brain. It was not until years later that I understood that it was Orson Wells parody
I still think think it was a lame and boring episode.

Instead of asking a stupid question like that how about anons post adult jokes in a kids show
>>89980278
alright: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAFP0IoMfsA
"They are more broke..... than The 10 Commandments!"
this entire scene

In the Old Testament, the character "Nimrod" was a great hunter.
Historically his name appeared on hunting gear like rifles, or even on biplane fighters.
That was up until the 40s, when his name shows up in Warner Bros. cartoon. Bugs Bunny refers to Elmer Fudd as a real "Nimrod." He does so completely sarcastically. Elmer Fudd, the great hunter Nimrod.
This sarcastic joke went over the heads of entire generations of young children, who have since grown up to believe that "nimrod" is just a meaningless slur towards intelligence, like "nincompoop" or "moron."
It's not adult humor or sexual innuendo or anything like that. But it's sitll my favorite for the effect it had on modern vocabulary.

Its subtle, but when Aku mentions "human form"....
>>89980941
Hmm I learned something today.
>>89980941
Once again, /co/ teaches me something new.
>>89980857
How old are you?
>>89980941
Damn. I have actually learned something
>>89979958
The drunk mayor in An American Tail, for one.
I was honestly kind of shocked how blatant it was when I rewatched it as an adult.
Similarly, the term "Maroon" was created when Bugs Bunny just overpronounced the word "Moron."
>>89982253
No way
>>89982358
Way.
>>89979958
you mean how many adult jokes still go over my head cause im a retard
>>89982253
Huh, I thought he was just really racist.
>>89980941
I knew that transition had occurred, but I never knew how. Thanks for explaining
"If those are the teeth... And that's the tongue... Then that must be the uvula!"
"Ooooh, so it's a girl house!"
Tiny Toons parodied Citizen Kane, including the ending. What kids have seen that movie? It sort of ruined the movie for me later. Eek! The Cat had a parody of Apocalypse Now and one of Cape Fear. Terrible Thunder Lizards showed one of the cavemen popping a boner over the first human woman. Rocco's Modern Life talked about Spanish fly. The Tick referred to Tick and Arthur's 'allternative lifestyle'.
>>89980941
Interesting I learned something on 4chan than new ways to call someone a faggot, thanks anon.
>>89983678Well we wasn't wrong.
>>89980941
Similar: The only reason we think that rabbits love carrots is that Bugs Bunny chewed on a carrot in reference to a Clark Gable movie, It Happened One Night. Rabbits actually prefer leafy greens.
>>89982253
Well, "Maroon" meaning "moron" comes from Bugs Bunny, but the other meanings of the word don't.
>>89982117
I mean, to be fair, that scene aired almost 10 years ago.
>>89980803
That's so blatant that I'm sure plenty of little kids got it.
>>89982253
Are you sure that wasn't old-timey racism? Because that sounds like a cover for old-timey racism.
>>89982253
>>89984306
>>89984354
The term "Nimrod" as an insult also comes from Bugs. He called Elmer Fudd "Nimrod" to mock him as a hunter since Nimrod was a mythodical hunter.. The largely uneducated audience took it to mean Fudd was a blabbering idiot, and so 3 generations of Western people know and associate "Nimrod" with stupidity.
>>89979958
Shrek suggesting that Farquaad is trying to compensate for something with his giant castle. Genius really, considering he was short
>>89985906
That was the funniest episode of the whole show, Jesus Christ.
>>89985631
He was just pronouncing it funny. Even if he were talking about Native Americans, it's a completely different shade of red. Not even close to them. There was a lot of racism, but not everything they did was racist.
>>89982253
Similarly, Daffy Duck changed the way we pronounce a world. His famous line "You're despicable" was mispronounced as a joke. He pronounces it DesPICable when it's actually DESpicable.
>>89986589
Cotton picking vermin with over my head when i was a child.
Here's a none innuendo one
Edd Ed n Eddy
>>89986735
Yeah that one was definitely racially motivated.

>>89979958
More of a reference I would never have gotten back then.
Johnny Bravo
The Tell-Tale Heart
>>89980941
That's really cool.
>>89986589
Maroon was a racial slur towards black Caribbeans, anon.
>>89986996
They had a lot of those
>Mama say mama saw me ma koo sa
>This is not my beautiful home! This is not my beautiful wife!
>>89987294
Yes it is but that doesn't mean using it like Bugs did is as a racial slur. Contextually, how does it make sense to call someone like Elmer Fudd a slave who was lost at sea and wound up on an island? Think first.
>>89980941
Hot damn, son. that's pretty neat
>>89987384
If you put it like that, Bugs calling Elmer a nigger wouldn't be using it as a racial slur either.
>Yeah, uh, we're with the pet hospital down the street, I understand that you have a dying animal on the premises
took years for me to get
>>89980941
Well shit, I always wondered about that whenever I read about historical or mythological figures called Nimrod.
>>89980230
are you referring to the part where he called them "she-dogs?"
>>89987440
Yeah that's a good oneI don't get it
>>89987690
Bingo. Should have made that clear.
>>89987852
The clarinet sounds like a dying animal.
>>89980941
That's one of the coolest facts I've ever read.
>>89988150
You'd best be shitposting, Anon
>>89988150
Really? That's the meaning of the joke?
>>89987440
Tell me how to make these images or I'll shoot spit balls in every chocolate milk in the school.
Don't think I'm fucking playing.
>>89980825
How would that line go over your head?
they're 1's and 0's
>>89988269
I thought the joke had to "adult" to be in this thread.
>>89988283
It's simple you justuse photoshop
>>89981088
Yeah this one is still going over my head
>>89988345
You cheeky motherfucker I'm grabbing paper right now
My mouth is moist and I'm ready to fucking go
TELL ME OR I'LL TAKE A WHIZ IN THE SINK TOO
Most of Shrek really. That movie aged like wine.
That part in Shrek where the Dragon went down on Donkey.
>>89987440
These images never work for me, am I doing something wrong?
>>89979958
Not a joke, but I didn't realize Cyber 6 and her schoolteacher alter ego were the same person until a few episodes in. Specifically, it hit me when the schoolteacher started thinking about what it would be like to date her love interest.

I'm not getting this... didnt it just mean his playing sounds like a dying animal?
>>89979958
>Rocko's Modern Life
Chokey Chicken
Heffer getting jacked off by a milking machine
>Cow and Chicken
Women literally eating carpet
>>89986363
Yes that was posted earlier in the thread good job for reminding everyone in case they forgot 5 seconds later
I can never remember any even though I'm sure they exist.
The only one I can really recall noticing is that the Simpsons use snuggling is a euphemism for sex.
I watched the cat in the hat movie multiple times and never noticed
>>89990673
>you want cream?
>ehh... no, thanks!
>>89987440
How did you not get this? It isn't even an adult joke.
>>89980941
Huh, and I always thought it was a hubris reference (because Nimrod tried to build a tower tall enough to reach Heaven).
>>89988486
>my mouth is moist and I'm ready to fucking go
This is a blue board anon.
>>89980941
"Nimrod" and "Eisenstein" are in the same boat. People who excelled in their fields of work but their names are a by word used as a slur towards intelligence in a sarcastic way.
>>89994099
Listen here, you ass munching cockhat, I'll be moist where I want.
You can't stop me from wrapping my warm tongue around the shafts of truth, nor my questing fingers from infiltrating the nether secrets. I'll ram my way into the slick caves of silence if I have to.
I'll rub away the mystery from the pillars of creation, and unsheath the spear of investigation.
What I'm saying is, I'm gonna masturbate in your Spaghetti-os if you don't tell me.
>>89994471
No shit Sherlock
>>89994471
>Eisenstein
I still don't get it

>There were 2 people named Eisenstein in late M2. One was a scholar, the other a remembrancer.

Squidward is fruity and would probably wear them for fun. That's the joke, genius.
>>89995849
Do you know if these can be read as separate books or do I necessarily have to read them in order? There's a couple in my local bookstore and I'm interested in the Mechanicum one but it says its the number IX from the horus heresy and it seems to be the only one available from that series
>>89996093
but how is that THREE good reasons?
>>89990673
I don't think that's a cum joke. I think it's just the absurdity of him keeping loose sugar in his pockets, and possibly is somehow also keeping loose cream on him.
>>89983678
There was also that uvula penis joke in Osmosis Jones.
I didn't get the Farquaad boner joke until I saw it pointed out on WatchMojo or Nostalgia Critic or something.
>>89996173
Some of them stand kind of alone, like Mechanicum and The First Heretic.
>>89984011
>>89983678
>The house was possessed by the deceased wife of the old man who lived there.
>It literally was a girl house.
Motherfucker that's some clever foreshadowing.

The Cat with the Bat?
>>89980941
I thought it had something to do with him being arrogant enough to attempt to challenge god by ordering the building of the tower of babel.
are there two different mythical nimrods, one a hunter and the other a king?
>>90000738
No, just the one: Noah>Ham>Cush>Nimrod. We assume Nimrod ordered the tower to be built based on the time period and the list of cities he founded. Also, a good number of creationists think that Gilgamesh is an embellished story about the life of Nimrod (especially the part where he goes on his quest and meets the father of all humans; Noah would likely have still been alive going by his age given in Genesis.) https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+10&version=NIV

Surprisingly enough I didn't get this until I watched an episode of Family Guy that mentioned Toulouse Lautrec as part of the stupid joke involving Peter going to an art museum
