I mean, those three in the first panel are clearly about to bang the shit out of the two in the last panel, that's obvious.

I'd say it's good. If you're always depending on 1 or 2 characters things will get stale much quicker.

The whole gods arc was bungled on a storytelling level, though. Rick built up to this big confrontation, with King having a major part. Instead that gets passed off to his barely involved girlfriend and King's job turns into going "hey guys, let's just not play along with this." It's been sputtering along with a few meh-worthy storylines and a whole lot of joke filler. I'm not sure Rick really knows what to do with it at this point. I'd wager Fox's buddy cop shenanigans were inspired by Zootopia based on the timing, and nothing of import really came of it.
