And if you think about it getting Cosmic cubed can be a way to clean up all the bad shit writers have done to Helmut.

Also seeing how Hydra Cap still remembers some of regular Cap's life, once the real Steve comes back he probably will also remember Hydra Cap's life and maybe have a bit of love left for Zemo because of it.

I always found their relationship to be interesting especially since Steve from day one has always tried to convince Helmut to just stop being a villain (especially after he did the Citizen V stint because he showed he could be a hero) and he did give him a few chances to redeem himself but Helmut was always a power hungry asshole.

This time, however, Kobik changed STEVE and left the rest of the world as is, but from Steve's perspective this isn't any different than what Kobik did last time.
