I think I've loved Rick's character development most in the book. You can see how different he's become since waking up in the hospital to his current position but yeah, as much as I'd hate to see it I think Andrea is next on the chopping block. If Negan does die tomorrow what do you think the best death for him would be? I think the following:
1. Negan vs Beta, Negan pretty much takes him down and rips off his mask before they kill one another
2. Dies protecting Rick from The Saviors
3. Maggie finds and kills him in a brutal execution manner
4. Gunned down by the Saviors
5. Lures some of the herd away so the survivors can make it to safety, ends up using himself as a sacrifice so the militia can take out the herd to thin it while they chomp on Negan

What I think Kirkman should have done, in retrospect, is he should have just ended Rick's arc with issue 48 and start a new one. Rick and Carl escape the prison. Michonne is back on her own. Andrea and the rest of them go off on their own. Then he starts a new story arc and keeps those characters on the shelf until he wants to use them later.
Everything after issue 48 just gets steadily shittier. As I said earlier in the thread, I stopped at issue 102.

Robert wants to give the sense that death can happen to anyone and it can happen fast.
He had Abraham die in the comic the same way as Denise in the show. He regretted killing off Abraham, but seem like he didn't regret the way he died.

Just read the issue. Negan doesn't die but it might be setting up for that, either him or Rick considering they are now officially working together and the Saviors are going in for the kill. Issue ends with The Saviors looking at all the walkers pouring in and Negan thinning out the remaining walkers in the house he and Rick are trapped in as Eugine uses noise to their advantage to lure them away from areas.

Nothing happens with the radio unfortunately.

For fuck sake, the thing I liked most about her in The Whisperer War was that she proved her loyalty was still with Glenn. I mean, I like Dante and all but if they do get together that'll ruin what an awesome moment it was.

I'm so disappointed that so many people stop reading TWD before AoW. Issue 100-onward is when that comic really begins in my mind. Call me an ignorant bitch, but I think Negan is a character that could go into history as one of the great villains. Not Joker-level, mind you, but what Joker is to Batman, Negan will be for TWD. No matter how many issues and arcs. He is the peak of this series.

Did anyone else think this issue felt a lot like issue #50 with Carl and Rick surviving in the house? That issue was all about how Carl can now take care of himself if Rick should eventually die but this time around it definitely seemed like it was all of Alexandria in Carl's shoes rather than Carl himself. It's a nice callback honestly.
