naw, it behooves her to keep a low-ass profile. that's witch 101 if you dont wanna get caught. Gothel had that shit down. that's why it took so long for them to find that flower, they had to hear stories about it first AND need it badly enough to scour every inch of the island. until then, hiding it out in plain sight was smarter than, say, building some big witchy fortress around it (plus the thing needed sunlight)

She was more the divination and potions sort of witch than the kind that can straight up hex a motherfucker or invoke the elements. Think of her less as a spell slinging sorceress and more of an occult alchemist. Her real power was that she was wealthy nobility, so her first instinct was to arrange a hit. When she figured out the little bitch was too doe eyed for any old thug to take out, that's when she decided to take matters into her own hands. Only way to be sure. But like I said earlier, she can't just cast magic missile at Snow White - not that kind of magician - so she used her alchemy mixtures to whip up some poison and a disguise potion.

Unfortunately power of love and a posse of god damned dwarves put the kebash on that shit.

In low fantasy magic and the fantastic are very rare. Dragon population in the world is probably single digits, and most of the magic in the setting happens in that specific story. You may have curses, or some minor tricks, but nobody is going around throwing fireballs and teleporting.

Early Game Of Thrones was low fantasy, although high fantasy crept into the story.

To put it plainly, in low fantasy the ability to use any kind of magic is extraordinary regardless of how mundane. In high fantasy the sky is the limit, except it isn't because pic related.
