To be fair Jack wasn't actually a typical Samurai when he began. He spent his whole life training around the world and didn't take up the sword until he took on Aku. He wasn't just some Shogun's thug like the average Samurai.
His audience isn't 10 any more but he's not denying what the series was before. Though it does make Jack a little callous since a couple of his Robofoes were definitely sapient.

She even stated, if she didn't take out Jack, then Aku would destroy her planet.

The bounty hunters all came there with the understanding that their methods would end Jack. The most lethal of poisons, knife throws faster than bullets, and bombs intended to make Jack die. They didn't come to capture him. They came to kill him. I doubt Boris is as durable as Jack and I doubt Jack counted on Boris tanking those bombs.
