We lost a comics master
Jiro Taniguchi has passed away
This thread will probably get deleted but while it is up we will celebrate the life and career of that amazing artist with a Story Time of his most noir
Beginning with Hotel Harbor View
Come Along
This is extremely sad.
I have mad respect for him.
This is one of the best slow motion sequences ever and a real good showcase of how to use that technique in comics unlike anywhere else.
This ending always really gets to me
Speaking of unreal gun fights
I won't be able to post all 7 chapters of this but the stuff we will get to will be great.

I just finished dumping Icaro. If this does get deleted, you can make use of the remaining imageposts in those threads. Since obviously anything written by Moebius should be acceptable on /co/.

I'm not trying to be an asshole but this is explicitly manga.

I am not claiming anything otherwise, anywhere in that post.
One of the best single chapters of anything you will ever read
One of the best action sequences in all of comics.
THIS FUCKING SCENE
THIS PAGE
This comic is so good
Almost all of it
But I am not going to make another thread for the remaining couple chapters
In case anyone's confused, go here for the rest

This was pretty good; some of the best noir inspired media I've seen in a while. Usually I don't like Japanese comics, but this was surprisingly entertaining.
> single /a/ thread with plebs going "literally who"
> meanwhile /co/ has three Taniguchi story time threads going on at the same time

I was about to say it was the same for us with Gotlib but considering how famous Jiro Taniguchi is...
>>89860725
What? No, come on man. I got most of his stuff On my shelf. This genuinely upsets me.
RIP

RIP
bump for dead artist
Just started reading the storytime and I'm confused because I'm used to weeb comics being read right to left. Are the pages mirrored? It doesn't look like that from the art.
Godspeed.

Farewell, Mr. Taniguchi. Though he dies, he leaves a part of him behind for all comics readers.
>>89867738
Yes, these two stories were mirrored.
Bump for pathetic, self-indulgent OP.
Good thread, OP.
>taniguchi is kill
>bendis is alive
it is not fair.
>>89860725
bump because Lee cant keep getting away with it

Those Paris chapters... Clearly the guy came to Paris before he drew that. The airport, the city, the metro station, this metro station.
How the rails vibrate when a train is comming, the sound it makes from the tunnel.
It's great!

>Are the pages mirrored?
Yes. It'll get obvious once you'll have seen people shot dead through the right lung.
