The inventiveness of the dragons insides are enough to satisfy me (as well as the ending being pretty funny) but it's obvious Aaron Springer wanted to make a show more like Korgoth that could more easily blend comedy with fantasy. Jack just isn't that funny a character.

Seriously, what was up with this? I seem to remember them doing it at least once per episode (at least, in the episodes that heavily featured fighting). Is it some Kurosawa thing? Is it because, being a Y7 rated show featuring a character that primarily uses a deadly weapon, they were kind of limited as far as what they could do with fight choreography? Or can Tartokovsky just not into fight scenes?

I feel like some episode endings are non canon. Like when he trusted the gangsters with the jewel that controls all the world's water. The writers just wanted to end the episode with a gag of them "going legit." There's just nothing Jackie the Blade can do about a group of human non-robot mobsters and the implication of those guys controlling every drop of earth's water is too ludicrous to have continuity.
