Good news, /co/! You can have a 15 minute Skype call with Mark Waid for just $25,000!

What went wrong with him?

Look legit. And cheap.

A Netflix for comic books? Seriously? How on Earth did Marvel agree to this? They already have their own Netflix-like service with Marvel Unlimited.
" Imagine dishing out $4 for each issue of each series you're interested in every month. Comic books are expensive! We're bringing comics into the 21st century by offering a true all-you-can-read subscription for digital comics."
Oh I cant imagine it alright. About $150 a month of imagination. Everything about this line pisses me off. Killing print comics would kill the industry. You completely shut off collectors and call me old fashioned, but I have no interest in reading larges amounts of material on a screen. I despise kindles and all related devices. Nothing compares to the feel of a real book.

Wouldn't it be amazing if instead of some wide-eyed Waid fanboy, he was given hard hitting questions about his significant drop in written quality?

>would kill the industry.
Like piracy did, right?
>>89786594
except with piracy people can still go buy the real thing. I'm just saying it comics went full digital, no physical copies. Which is kinda what "bringing comics into the 21st century" seems to imply this person thinks is a great idea, but maybe I'm jumping to a conclusion.

I buy digital comics because I have no room for physical.

Man, I wonder whether he'd create a twitter shitstorm over something like this. I wonder whether he can still take criticism.
>$250 a year for comics I can read online for free
I'm all set.

Comics are different from movies and music. With CDs and BluRays the physicality of the thing has no purpose except for display on the shelf. With a physical comic you can actually do something with the thing, read it right there with no machinery.
It's even different from books in that you can have prestige formats that have more value for pictures than for words on a page.

Waid is notorious about banning/blocking even genuine, innocent critisism instead of acknowledging it. It'd be nice to see someone who isn't a buttlicking fanboy do this, just for the fallout.
