Which corners are left in the Marvel Universe to bring to the MCU?

how do they do it, /co/? How do they just keep putting out amazing things?
>>
>>89783032
It really sucks that Exiles is with Fox. Otherwise, we'd be getting so much dimensional shit going on. Though, they could always do Secret Wars 2015 or Spider-Verse.
>>
>>89783227
could they do Squadron Supreme but just write it like it w as Exiles?
>>
>>89783226
Pacing. They actually take their time to get you to know the heroes of each film. Sure, it comes at the expense of the villains, but how long has the Superhero genre been dominated by "Who is going to be the villain" when it's now "watch your heroes meet each other"
>>
>>89783266
Squadron Supreme is way too close to Justice League for them to pull off in the films. That, and half the draw of Exiles where that the characters were vulnerable, not Superman levels.
>>
>>89783336
>urns out that in every other universe, weapons that can kill superman are commonplace and everyone has one
>>
I do wonder how they'll approach other dimensions like 2099 and such. The roster of films is getting pretty tight.
>>
Golden Age
>>
>>89783530
Hank Pym was kindav apart of the Golden Age
>>
>>89783530
If they ever do an FF movie, I hope it covers golden age, time
Travel and dimension-hopping by having the Movie set in the 60s of the MCU.
>>
Destroyer MAX
>>
Go International.

I want to see Captain Britain and MI:13, and Alpha Flight.

Hell, they could actually decide on Chinese and Russian teams to regularly use instead of making up Brand New Ones every goddamn time.
>>
>>89783530
>>89783580
I think that ship has sailed. I mean, how do we get this deep into the MCU, and nobody brought up heroes in the 60's?
>>
>>89783640
they be Lost In Spacetime till now and everyone on Earth just believes they died in the equivalent of the Challenger shuttle
>>
>>89783708
...so the FF will be 50 so years older?
>>
Which film is going to tackle the "good" area?

>>89783226
More like mediocre.
>>
>>89783640
Well Union Jack was a Howling Commando, becomes UJ after WW2 maybe?
At some point during the montage WW2 Namor Human Torch, the Commandos, Bucky, Cap, and T'chaka as BP did some kind of secret three day mission, then after WW2 T'chaka, HT, Namor, UJ, and Dum Dum Dugan teamed up for a secret cold war mission involving Bucky.

If Bucky shaped the century in secret others could have too.
>>
>>89783628
This. You could do so much with international stuff.

Then again, that could be Black Panther.
>>
>>89783987
The fun thing about the world is that it's really, really big. And it has a lot of diverse places and locals.

Black Panther may end up being "Africa". But there's still Europe, Asia . . .
>>
>>89782985
>Which corners are left in the Marvel Universe to bring to the MCU?

Spyshit and street level shit. Though one of which is being covered with Spider-Man.

>>>Dr. Strange does Magic
>>Thor does Asgard
>>Guardians do Space

Thor kinda does the same thing that Guardians and Dr. Strange does. It's just that Thor's method of travel is much faster and potentially more... grandiose than what Strange does.
>>
>>89784207
It's too bad Big Hero Six is separate from Marvel Now...
>>
>>89784752
We still have like the 9 dozen Chinese hero teams there've been . . .
>>
>>89784712
What?
Defenders is Street Level.
Captain America and Agetns of Shield are Spyshit.
>>
>>89784767
Name them.

And then tell me fi they are viable for movies.
>>
>>89783226
Ant-Man was 2 years ago, anon. GotG was 3.
>>
>>89784778
>Defenders is Street Level.
Defenders isn't part of the MCU.

>Agetns of Shield
Neither is that.

So yeah, until Spider-Man comes out, MCU hasn't touched on street level.

>Captain America
You could make an argument for TWS. But Cap, on the whole, isn't about espionage. We robably won't get proper spyshit until we get a Black Widow movie.
>>
>>89783226
They're not that good.

Thing is, why would Marvel blow their budget on a street level film when it's being done on Netflix?

>>89784801
there's been several. First was China Force, which was based around the Chinese Zodiac.

They sucked.

Then there was The People's Defense Force. Has some good heroes, but some shitty ones too.

Following that was Dynasty (described as a "militarized Avengers" by Tony Stark). Some good characters here too, but to many "Chinese Knockoff of Avengers" types.

Then we have the Ascendants. This works with the organization SPEAR. This is probably the most legit lineup.

Probably because it has the Monkey King. Even if it's just a servitor of Sun Wukong himself, ya don't mess with the Monkey King.
>>
>>89784968
> why would Marvel blow their budget on a street level film when it's being done on Netflix?

Because what's being made for netflix isn't done by the same people or department/division as who make's a movie. The shows are made by Marvel Entertainment. The MCU is made by Marvel Studios. That's like asking why they have Superman in the Supergirl show and in the DCEU movies.

How the fuck did this stupid idea get started?
>>

Sliders became unwatchable as soon as they killed off their first regular. Maybe invulnerable is better.

When everyone saw how shit AoS was.

Because Multiverse, dude.
>>
>>89785119
>How the fuck did this stupid idea get started?

Part because >>89785142

>When everyone saw how shit AoS was.

and part of the fact that there's no communication/continuity between both studios because based Feige put Perlmutter in his place so he could stop trying to force his shit into the movies.
>>
>>89785142
>When everyone saw how shit AoS was.

Oh, so it's desperate fan denial with no basis in reality? Glad to hear it.

Fuckin' MCU babies.

Don't know what a REAL bad movie or TV series even looks like.

Horror
but that will never happen because of China
>>
>>89785321

Which is fine. Vampire (like Mutants) are too late to be introduced into the MCU. And something like Ghost Rider probably wouldn't fit given the established setting.
>>
>>89785294
>>89785234

You honestly thought that the Movies would reference the TV series as much or more than the reverse?

Really?

Even without the split, that was a longshot.

I mean, the BEST case scenario is what Rogue One did. Expecting anything more is silly.

"But Joss said--"

Said, nothing. Go by what is done on screen first and foremost.

But come on guys, they could introduce Man-Thing in another GotG movie. He was awesome enough to actually get a movie of his own in 2005, but nobody remembers it because apparently it was shit. We need him back on the big screens.
>>
>>89785478
It was a straight to video/Syfy movie.

>>89785407
>You honestly thought that the Movies would reference the TV series as much or more than the reverse?

Before then, most had no reason not to think that they wouldn't. It was all coming from Marvel and by that point Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Studios weren't entirely separate production studios.

>I mean, the BEST case scenario is what Rogue One did.

That case is a unique exception. Star Wars (except for maybe video games) isn't produced by multiple companies. It's all coming out of Lucasfilm and they keep a tight lid on their titles to ensure continuity and avoid the clusterfuck that the Expanded Universe was.
>>
>>89785840
>Before then, most had no reason not to think that they wouldn't.
Sensible people had a very good reason. You can't expect directors to put TV series references into their movies that will at best be missed or more likely misunderstood by 90% of the audience.
>>
>>89785840
>Before then, most had no reason not to think that they wouldn't.

Basic knowledge of the difference in production times between a film and a TV series did it for most people.
>>
>>89785587
That was such a fun series . . .
