He obviously isn't a prodigy like Ruby or Weiss or Yang or Pyrrha or even Blake. He has some talent but nothing like them. That's what you have to keep in mind.

Considering his physical characteristics, Pyrrha would tear him apart because of well she's Pyrrha. Blake would beat him.

Fights against Ruby, Weiss and Yang are kind of up in the air. I'd give them in ten fights they'd beat him nine out of ten times but Ruby and Weiss kind of have glass chins and Yang goes toe to toe with people. Jaune's physical strength is obviously a thing this volume and it could mean he could outmuscle Yang if he was actually trained from an early age but Yang is also absurdly fast and her flurries will fuck you.

He wouldn't be close to their level basically. It's not shown well on the show but everyone other than Jaune is top of the class tier. If they started at the same starting line, Jaune would probably still behind everyone by a good degree.

I'd give him that he'd beat the shit out of Ren at a good percentage because Ren is kind of badly built but the best he could hope is that he would Hendo the shit out of someone by chance if they ever fought.

Yup yup, lots of info, RT was definitely testing the waters with the new animation system. Facial rigs/expressions are the best they've ever been, including lighting and backgrounds. Downside I'd say are the fights, they're a lot more...muted I'd say than previous volumes, but that's understandable with new tech and no old fights from Monty lying around anymore.

The design is a random mishmash of various cultures that didn't actually roam deserts and follow different rules and themes for why exactly they dress that way.

You have fucking design elements from Native Americans who specifically roamed places that were green and had good hunting and Egyptians who, although they lived in an arid desert lived comfortably near rivers and had green life around them .

The one hand having a glove and not the other, the choice of colors, the collar over that shirt leading into what looks like shorts and a tied skirt over it. One leg having an orange knee brace and not the other. What is the idea there. What is the reasoning behind why somebody would dress like that, not even from a practical point of view but a thematic one. What message is that outfit supposed to convey other than colorful and kind of badly designed.

It's a blank doll slap on a design that wouldn't be out of place on a doll game.
