It's good, but certain sections of the finale's montage leave a bad taste in my mouth, which affects how good the song fits.

The song itself is fine, really good, but the montage could've been better. Overall I can't think of another song that could've rounded it out though.

It's a big deal because cartoons don't say oh my god or reference god

I usually tear up every time the video game at the end is shown. Something about seeing the Regular Show version of old games just gave me a really comfortable feeling. Seeing it during the finale montage just kills me. I'm probably the only one who gets it there instead of anywhere else (though once the sun exploded pops flew into during the premiere I did cry, bunch of rewatches later it doesn't impact me quite as bad usually)

I usually hate fan-reaction stand in plots/characters in shows but I have to agree with that Minty Lewis character from the Hear No Evil episode, I never would've seen this coming in a million years.

Like it's not really common to kill a main in a kid's show, and have it actually stick beyond a "they're temporarily dead long enough for feels", but I expected everyone to come out fine (like usual) so we'd get a complete and full "where are they now" with everyone.

I guess the only thing Pops would've done if he survived was open a butterfly sanctuary like in Exit 9B, like Skips' ending. Either that or actually be the boss of the park like he's supposed to be rather than Benson, but then he'd have nothing to do since he doesn't want to go back to bands.

A series finale with weight. Not everyone came out OK, the big bad didn't just punch the main for about 5 minutes while saying some rude things, and while it wasn't chock full of callbacks like I was expecting from the show, it had that too. Not to mention on final licensed song, something most kid cartoons never do, let alone 40 songs over the series.
