When I first watched the series I always imagined it would end with Jack going back in time 5 minutes before Aku sent him to the future. There young Jack would meet old Jack, and the two of them would work together to finally kill Aku. Young Jack would still be sent to the future, but Old Jack would remain in the past to free his people.
