The Roach. You take a sleazy dirtbag and give him super villain powers for the purpose of being a hero. His homeless situation just gets worse every few issues. He sometimes plays a minor role aiding more important superheroes but never stays long or until the fight is finished, so most superheroes can't find him afterwards or forget about him. Leaving him in an endless struggle on the streets. Looks like a mix between the dad from sunny with a chance of meatballs, Ernie Potts from Hey arnold, and Dr.Willy.
You seen his son now and again, and he's degrading fast as him. At one point theres a turning point where he starts getting his life back on track, moves in with a kind woman near the city outskirts, marries her, gets a job, has a kid, while he lets his father do whatever being homeless in the city.

The sixth, and final if sales are as I expect, issue will have Mysterio himself attempt to take her as an apprentice and she'll finally carve out an identity of her own as they do battle.

Baron Bourbon

Character has extremely high super strength and durability in his peak state, there's a catch though.

How powerful he is depends entirely on how drunk he is, if he's completely sober he's basically a normal human, if he's "can barely stand up and only has a vague (as in, somewhere in America) idea of where he is"-tier he's basically indestructible and his punches (assuming he doesn't miss or fall over) are fucking nuclear. Another thing is that his body metabolise alcohol extremely quickly, he can get drunk in seconds with enough whiskey on hand, but likewise he will sober up very quickly, meaning he needs to constantly keep drinking to maintain his peak strength.

A guy gets Crawlers power from Worm. http://worm.wikia.com/wiki/Crawler . Crawler's power was adaptive regeneration. Any injury he suffered would heal in a way that made the healed area resistant or immune to the source of the injury.

The description of him after years - Crawler, the most monstrous member of the group, loomed over the rest. His chest was ten feet deep from front to back, his head the size of a small car. He combined the most effective features of a bear and a panther. Sinuous, flexible, bristling with quiet menace, but also brawny with muscle. He had armor plates covering him, with scales where armor wouldn’t allow him optimum flexibility, and spines and coarse hair where the scales wouldn’t do. Head to toe, he had the coloring of an oil slick, black by default, but scintillating with rainbow hues in just the right light. A hundred black orbs studded the length of his body, set into the plates of armor. Caustic venom virtually poured from a mouth that bristled with mismatched fangs, spattering precipitously close to Cherish and eating at the concrete rooftop. Perhaps most unnerving of all were his six legs, each forking at the knee or elbow joint, with one larger limb ending in scimitar-like claws and a smaller set of limbs for each; tentacles for the rear four legs and a long fingered human’s hands for the forelimbs.

This guy however would be a hero, idolizing the Justice League or Avengers. He thinks initially that he just have low level super strength and healing. He tries to fight against a low level super villian, and then gets his shit kicked in. He gets away with the villain pulling off their job, and with several civilians and cops dying because he wasn't able to stop the bad guy. Also his powers changed him to be somewhat horrific making it harder to have his civilian identity.

Make a character called Edge and have him be the most non-edgy character ever. Have the villain be the most bad ass extreme tacticool demon cyborg samurai ever, call him Marisu.

However he still wants to be a hero and his home town (one of the lesser cities of the universe so not New York, Gotham Metropolis etc) is suffering from a crime wave. He makes some small victories on smaller level thugs and criminals. However he keeps getting hurt and getting twisted by his power. He wants to quit but nobody else is trying to help.

Finally he finds the super villain who beat him down, and seeks revenge. They have a massive fight, with extreme collateral damage but he manages to finally best him. He then in a rage kills him in full view of the media. He then is declared a super villain and has to flee from the police.

His monstrous appearance is made worse by the fight, and he can't hide anymore as a civilian. Also because of the recent super power crime wave, a small team of normal high tech troops supported by some low level metahumans comes to town. It becomes full scale warfare between the Government team, Supervillans and Crawler.

Crawler by this point is hating himself for causing the fight to become war, and is haunted in his dreams by the people who died. He gets into another fight with a criminal, but is interrupted by the hero team. He then accidentally crippled one of the team trying to get away.

Hero is in a team that refuses to acknowledge themselves as heroes. While he tries his best to show the people that he can be trusted, the rest of the team ends up ruining his chances and is seen as threat to society. He abandons them so that he can gain the trust of the public, but he isn't strong enough to take on the bad-guys that his team would take on as a unit. In his pursuit for great power, he slowly becomes unaware of the world he lives in and his mind and body is split between multiple dimensions. His experiences in each dimension is vastly different from the other, that each fragment of him is completely independent from the other. When the fragments start to form back to a single being, he starts to fall apart physically and mentally. He refuses to submit to death, doing what ever it takes to keep him going. His final chapter in life will have major consequences, even though he may not be able to realize it.

Meet Bob. Bob is a fairly normal guy, with a roommate. His roommate just happens to be a Beyonder-level powered guy who doesn't fully understand humanity and has moved in with Bob to get a better feel. Bob calls this guy Bill. Bill often tries to help Bob, but because of his poor understanding of humanity, hilarity ensues.

Navy SEAL/Green Beret/Army Ranger guy is put into a coma during a mission, and a secret government program confiscates him. After enhancing him (hyperbolic reflexes, enhanced strength/agility, heightened senses,etc.) and wiping his memories, they put him back under. He wakes up one day, and everyone in the facility is dead. Something in his head triggers; and he feels a sudden urge to get to Washington. He gets up out of the facility, into the Arkansas swamps. His ongoing would be his trek to DC, helping townsfolk, finding out who he is, and who's giving him orders.

Character is outwardly bombastic, with a simple but fierce code of honour, believes that innocents should be protected and will kill if necessary. Struggles to deal with loss, and coming to terms with changing times and ideals, but remains optimistic.

Jerry Jacobs runs a small seafood restaurant in New York. He lives a happy life with his wife and two children but seeks excitement living in a city of heroes. One day when receiving can order of crayfish one that's still alive pinches his finger. Later his supplier tells him that the batch he delivered may have been tainted and it would be best to throw them out. Pinched by the tainted crustacean Jerry becomes NYC'S ewes hero: The Craw Dad!

Truth is he has no powers but thinks he does due to misunderstandings. For example he punches a building in frustration and as he walks away construction workers demolish it. Spider-Man finds him first when Craw Dad tries to stop mugging. Spidey beats the peeps but Craw Dad thinks that he did it. This continues through the night but following him home Peter doesn't have the heart to tell him no because te guy's heart is in the right place. He just to stick with simpler task because he's too powerful and "With great power comes great responsibility". Other NY based heroes continue this and help him continue to think he's a hero.

Sorceror whose power is healing based on how much they know about anatomy and medicine. In the beginning they're equipped with high school general knowledge, know jack shit and end up fucking people up beyond repair (trying to heal cuts by multiplying cells but doesn't know which cells or when to stop and creates a clump of cells on a guy's arm).

A character who can fly and that's it. He has to make up for his lack of super strength and invulnerability with skills and gadgets.
