1. She's gotten plenty in previous volumes. This was more a chance to show how she as a developed character plays off those from similar backgrounds without said development.

I really doubt it, the scene was played for the one episode and after the second dream she wakes up and hears Pyrrhas voice from Jaunes scroll, the angst moment happens and it's never looked into again.

Never even hinted at.

If anything the Pyrrha video was the only real hint for something to be brought back up, specifically from Jaune, and was doubled by the scene with the exposition dump by Qrow, showing Jaune clearly has some valid anger held in over the situation.

Wonder if that'll lead to anything with Jaune and Oscar, what with Ozpins soul being alive inside of him.

The show has really lost a lot of its charm in exchange for quality, hasn't it? I just binged through the entirety of volume 1, and it's amazing how non-standard the acting and writing were back then. They weren't exactly good, but they weren't bad, and they did a lot of neat stuff with the characters and their voices. It was all a lot more alive. Like the "magnets are cool too" line, it somehow added layers of depth to Ruby's character.

Now it's just your typical western anime series, like Avatar. And I'm not saying that that's bad, but it's really lacking that "specialness" the first season had. The characters all seem a lot less human. It's not being made by "the people" any more, but by professionals.

And again, I'm really enjoying it, and it's still a very quality series, but I do miss that rough quality it had. I feel like it could use a bit more of that.
