JNPR was designed from the outset to be a team, even basic design wise their central theme of "gender flipped historical/mythological figures who cross-dressed at some point" is far more uniting than RWBY's "they're all based on fairy tales", which isn't even unique considering it applies to literally everyone on the show.
That and JNPR got a lot of development early on because the writers knew that JNPR as a concept was on a timer thanks to Pyrrha's death being planned in advance, so they had to sell them to us to get us invested so it hurt when Pyrrha died

The Nuck fight should've gone differently

Why haven't I seen that much bitching about the Nuck fight?

That fucking sucked. Great concept, good visuals, the thing looked terrifying. But holy fuck the fight may have been the worst fight in the entire show, period. It was just a bunch of slow fucking slashing. Jayne got a weapon upgrade just so he could use his sword to slash ONCE and run, then repeat. This didn't feel even remotely like a high-paced RWBY fight.
