Why would I be a hero?

Sure, I consider myself to basically be a 'good guy' and I'd help out in the event of a natural disaster or something like that, but running around town at night looking for crime to stop is rather silly.

I rather just use my powers to make money, and use that money, fame, and social standing to do good. Some problems can't be punched.

Unless I had inhuman durability, healing factor, or some force shield that helped me tank bullets and other projectiles, having a no-kill policy, especially fighting armed criminals, is just foolish. There's a reason why cops are armed and why most firefights end with casualties. In real life, people who uphold a no-kill policy would wind up dead very quickly. I honestly can't imagine pursuing a life of super heroics without some shady government or corporation coercing me to do their dirty work. Besides, sooner or later, the government will find out about me and get involved. Hard Mode:
While I could just fluff a mary-sue and reap the benefits, certain mental blocks and plot effects prevent me from accessing powers like Omniscience, God Forms, etc instantaneously. While I could transform into something like a demonic abomination if I fluffed my alter-ego as such and people believed it I could not become God Emperor if one person believed I was. In other words the more OP and janky the power, the more people need to believe I have said janky and OP power. If anything I would need a majority of the world's population to believe I am a god before even coming close to using a fraction of an OP ability. Another perk/downside is that I can only activate this power to shapeshift into multiple personas I have helped create, propagate, and cultivated belief in. I might be able to create my own creepypasta knock-off of a character and shapeshift into it but I can't assume Slenderman, The Rake, or any established identity I did not have a part in creating. In short I have become a living embodiment of propaganda that could blow up in my face if all my identities were debunked.

If I ever got powers that place me at the top of everyone else (so say, Superman-tier power), I would go full Akumetsu (with a no-kill policy) in my country. My country is riddled with corruption and criminals using the system for their profit while distracting the mass with non-issues. I would step up there and get rid of those assholes. I wouldn't try to replace the system with my political view more so that I would just kick out the bad guys out.

No kill rules are dumb. If I'm a hero it'll he the wonder woman/captain America variety who have absolutely no qualms whatsoever about killing dangerous enemies who want to kill me and hurt what I care about.

Depends how empowered I become. Think of the uncanny valley, but rename it the murder valley. As my power increases the great the amount of problems I can solve by murder, but at a certain point it becomes easier for me to be nice about it.

Like if I reach "Can't be killed by a weapons" levels of powers, then the amount of problems I can solve by just killing certain people as quick as possible is greater than the amount of farms and homes I could build. Of course as speed and strength increase there comes a point where it's more efficient to be more lenient, and at god like power it's much easier to just be benevolent.

I'd join team evil, not for edginess or greed but because they always seem to have the most fun.

Only caveat is that the world has to have a MAD situation going on between the heroes and villains with an unspoken code where the heroes don't murder the villains and in return the powerhouse villains don't start hitting below their power level and murder every junior hero and sidekick as well as loved ones, celebrities, and political figures.

Try and be as close to the flash as possible...Baring that, superman as possible, i'd be happiest as superman.

At bare minimum, i'd try and be as Daredevil as possible.

Like imagine someone shooting at you, the bullets don't do damage since the force behind them just dissipated if not outright reversed direction.
