-Each season needs to have a different improved theme going on. If a show started off as slice of life than that show is obligated to have an adventure-themed season to shaken up the formula a bit.
-If the creator isn't good at multiple genres (Rebecca Sugar) she gets kicked out and somebody else is in charge of the show.

Let's not kid ourselves. As one of the biggest Randy Cunningham fans out there, I will fully admit that the show was, by no means, anything special. It was a run-of-the-mill action show. It had going for it, however, some amazing art/character design, and the fact that it was an action cartoon, in an era where there there were no action cartoons, and people were desperately craving it. This show's strongest thing going for it was the time it came out.

This could use a dark-toned reboot. They could actually act as goddamn witches and not basic elementals. Dryad faeries would be infinitely more interesting that the continous cliche crap we get with elementalist nature powers in all magical girl teen shows. Also age their brain up to like 30-50.

Definitely would love to see a Storm Hawks focused on a more adult audience. The writing style was too kiddish and not very good at all, it was worse than Teen Titans. The world design otherwise was excellent.
