There's more to war than just battles.

Most of Clone Wars is comically over-the-top action that loses my engagement fast. When you turn every Jedi into these super amazing Dragonball characters it really sucks out a lot of the tension.

I will agree that there's a lot of great scenes in this (Anakin and Ventress, both Grievous encounters), but there are just as many that made me roll my eyes, like when Yoda felt the need to ride a mount through Coruscant but didn't accomplish anything anyways.
