Their most well known villains are a brain in a jar who's in love with a french military gorillla.
They've fought guys named Animal-Vegitable-Mineral Man, and once convinced a sentient black hole to join their team.
Their most popular story run had stories involving a secret organization of white picket fence dads trying to assassinate a transvestite sentient street.
The most normal Doom Patrol ever was, was in the Silver Age (which is just a bar of weird comics that is set pretty high on themweird).

I really liked New Warriors, hated that Marvel decided to just shit on them for a decade.

I always thought they mixed up the origins perfectly.
