What's the hardships of being a modren comicbook writer

You are a hack if you aren't consistently better than the majority of history's famous 2D artists in terms of consistency and understanding of three dimensional form.

Like for real, people will put down all but the best artists as "being bad" without constructive feedback. You can always be better, but being scrutinized so much more harshly for a much smaller market in a career that doesn't pay for shit must be stressful.

A lot of artists are huge pussies who refuse to take criticism, but people shit on the likes of Frank Quietly over the tiniest things and call his art garbage. You just can't win.

Kinda, yeah. A lot of artists refuse to take criticism, but it's hard to blame them because a lot of people will dismiss their work as garbage without a thought, but people tend to be dismissive because of artists who refuse to improve.

It's a terrible cycle.
