Pretty hyped for this to be honest, Spider-Island was the last Spider Event that I really enjoyed, even the Battleworld tie in was great. Spider Island also was a platform that git Agent Venom and Scarlet Spider (Kaine Parker) off the ground. This is a much better idea that adapting something like Superior or Spider Verse.

Spider-Island was actually the story that made me give up on Slott's Spider-Man for good. I'd already stopped reading but because it was supposedly some of the best stuff he'd written in a while, I gave him one more shot. Severely disappointed. Such a mediocre story with a hamfisted message about how Peter is special delivered in such a cliched manner and a shitty villain. If that was the best Slott had to offer, I was out.

Guys, I think you misunderstood this.

In previous answers to fans, Mr Wacker said "Ultimate Spider-Man" could be not as ended as it seems. I believe what he meant is that we are going to have an special (similar to the Avengers's Frost Fight and Hulk's Where Monster Dwell) which could be based on Spider-Island. And this special movie would take place in Ultimate Spider-Man's reality.

That's what I wanna know. Will it come late enough in the show's continuity that they do a condensed Anti-Venom demption angle? In the 90s TAS by his second appearance, they already were moving into Brock wanting to protect the innocent.
