iirc most of their original shows went premium as well from what I've heard. Never been a fan of any of their cartoons. It's just more of the same 14-year-old demographic type shit.

The EEnE purgatory one really pisses me off.

The reason why there aren't any adults shown is because it's supposed to capture the feeling of hanging out with your friends on summer break, when everyone's parents are at their jobs/doing housework. The feeling of walking around the neighborhood and playing with other kids like you're all in your own world, without any grown-ups.
