Because the first half of S1 was fun slice of life while the second half was building on an overarching plot. Rebecca Sugar has a wonderful relationship with her dad, if her father's youtube is anything to go by. He's so proud of her. Of course she would try to portray men in a good light. Greg is one of her favorite characters. Greg has mild flaws, like being incredibly laid back, physically weak, and not that smart, but overall he's a great guy. Contrast that with another of Rebecca Sugar's favorite characters, Pearl. Pearl is deeply flawed. She was damaged terribly by her past and her nature (plus thousands of years of being stuck in her ways) holds her back. She tries to walk a line between being hyper self aware and being oblivious to the consequences of her actions. Another line involves her pride in her self, and her self hatred. She overcompensates for both. She loves deeply, and wants to be loved, but her abandonment issues get in the way of that.

Greg is a stable guy. He's fucked up a couple of times, like when he faked am injury to be with Steven, but overall he doesn't really need character growth. Pearl on the other hand has much more complex issues to deal with and has received a lot of attention on the show because of it. She's had her moments of regression and growth. Rebecca must be very attached to Pearl as a character to put so much effort into this.

So, Rebecca loves Greg. Rebecca also loves Pearl. I wonder about what she sees in Pearl that makes her so invested in her character?

It was a very well done representation of the eden story. People without sin or pain living in an idealistic setting, but without any freedom. I'm not religious, but the parallel was blatant. Their obvious pursuit to highlight lesbian relationships as fan-fucking-tastic has many issues. Garnet went from a stoic leader to a bubbling whore because lesbian sex must be shown as happy, and everyone who says anything bad about it must be 100% completely wrong at all times.

In a story that has always had some grey morality to it this one stance being utterly unwavering annoys me and is clearly just a result of all the media attention their escapades in lesbianism is generating.

He indulged the /pol/ audience by setting up against SJWs and constantly mentioning them, which will excite the /pol/ crowd. It's a great angle to take.
