I defy anyone to find anything unique about the Sonic fandom.

The meme that Sonic fans are somehow different from any other fandom is pretty ridiculous, and seems to stem exclusively from Chris-Chan (who is a Transformers, Pokemon, MLP, and Lego fan as well.)

The concept of OCs exists in almost every fandom; Steven Universe and Homestuck, for instance, have entire universes of "gemsonas" and "trollsonas." Homestuck has tons of images detailing troll genitalia. Gravity Falls has entire fan universes, with wikis dedicated to them. There was a huge internet fight over Transformers characters being drawn as "valveboys." And here's a fandom glossary, in case you need to know what is happening when someone runs their glossal down someone's spike.
