Jedi can use the force to see(Miraluka straight up don't have eyes and even the non force sensitive ones are forced to see via this method), so blindness has never been a huge handicap for them.

Yet instead of actually getting an interesting storythread with Kanan learning to accept and overcome his handicap, instead we get one episode with some random Bendu faggot and everything's fine. Why even make him blind in the first place?

And they can teach it to non miraluka easily enough. Visas can teach the exile in KoToR2, and Kreia learned it somehow too. Kota figures it out, presumably on his own as well, by the time of TFU2.

After Bendu taught him a new way to see he's been doing fine for the most part, however yes in the very last episode before this one he couldn't see Sabine fighting rocket troopers with her jetpack. His Force vision has a range limit.

We don't even know if he truly "sees" like a Jedi daredevil but rather just senses movement within the localized Force. Probably the latter since the way Bendu taught him to see was after Kanan confessed he'd closed himself off to his friends and even the Force, Bendu put him in a position where he had to link deeper with the Force in order to detect things around him. Because while people get hung up on midi-chlorians these days Yoda still described the Force. It's everywhere, even in rocks and Luke's starfighter.

Ahsoka's lightsaber is a lightsource but the light isn't much different for Rex and surely he could have seen her duck. So much for superior clone genetics and training when it comes to battlefield awareness. That guy who bonked his head on the Death Star was probably a really old clone.

Well sure, it was more for the audience so we could see them effectively communicate in-person but one is ironically a blind guy and the other is just a tiny hologram. I'm sure the show staff are aware of this and thoroughly amused.

In-universe I'm sure it's just the comm equipment. First time they spoke he was using a hand comm, second time it was a makeshift comm station. Probably better range, power source, and you don't have to worry about using up your minutes or having to plug your commPod into the Apple proprietary charger dock that are super expensive if broken and Bail refuses to pay for any more.
