What's /co/'s honest opinion of this episode? Was it really as polarized a people say? I'm doing some research for a project.
Saw it for the first time recently and I enjoyed it. Maybe the ending veers too hard into obvious status quo reset territory but aside from that I'd consider it essential.

Its one of the better episodes of the First Season.
I can't even remember what happened in it, I don't think I've seen it in almost 20 years.
I remember being creeper out by her though.
I liked the lose, rubbery animation style used for the episode and specifically for this episode alone. It makes it stand out among the early Simpsons for having an almost action oriented plot by the second act.
To Be honest, we got gold with Sideshow Bob as a recurrent villain, but I would have liked to have seen the Babysitter Bandit come back as a villain, too.
>no r34 of Mrs. Botz
What a shame

r34 is eternal, it is merely a matter of time

This, it's pretty strange how, with how much this show re-uses characters, we've NEVER seen Mrs. Botz outside of this episode, even once.

She's a celebrity guest voice character.
I don't get it, what was the big deal about it? Was she a molester or something?
>>89335838
She appeared in several other episodes, with the most recent one being the Family Guy crossover

And that's stopped The Simpsons before? Penny Marshall isn't exactly an A-list actor.
>>89331101
wasn't this supposed to be the pilot before simpsons roasting on an open fire was made?
>>89336329
Yup, the network called the animation in the episode crap and shelved the episode until episode 13

Maybe some day...
I liked how daring this one was but I just can't get over how the mouths and head turns look, it makes the whole thing far too creepy.
