So here's a question: How would Velvet work as a frontier Huntress? Her box has to be charged up with pictures of the weapons for her to use, and I'm assuming that after she opens the box all the energy is expended. In an environment like Beacon where literally everyone is armed to the teeth it works, but what about in a little village? The towns don't seem to have electricity or or any meaningful connections to the major cities. The one RNJR stopped in had an oldschool blacksmith, for God's sake! What sort of meaningful equipment could she stock up on in a town like that?

Jaune settles to a village as a local huntsman, living comfortably and stable, protecting the people from bandits and any surrounding grimm.

Or he becomes a teacher/huntsman at either a local school or Beacon, teaching combat and defense, he still uses his sword and shield and the students pick on him for that, but at this point he is skilled and handy enough with both to show that an old school sword and shield is still just as good as an over complicated weapon.

Ruby is a traveling Huntress, similar to Qrow but minus the ozluminaty, she teaches part time mechanics at schools all over Remnant, but mostly travels all over Remnant helping anyone in need. She still makes a point to back to see everyone, but will always be back on the move.

That shit was especially common during V4 speculation when everyone was making awful predictions that never came true.

You know how daddy ren had to tell the mayor something when he came back to town from a mission or whatever? What if it he was supposed to kill the nuck? If the nuck had lived in that cave the entire time, wouldn't it have just killed everyone in the first place? Its home is littered with weapons from its fallen foe's, also why in a cave? From what i have noticed the stronger grimm typically live in caves or places with low light (i.e dragon, death stalker, king taijtu, etc.) or rather wait to attack with large quantity of lesser grimm (Goliath).

So im thinking Ren's dad took on the contract to kill the nuck, the town putting up bounty on it seeing as it killed any who came across it. The grimm most likely just waits around for people to try to fight it, they then are woefully unprepared and it slaughters them, all who challenge it must die. Having been attacked by Hanzo, it followed him home so that it could kill him. From what I remember from the episode it was ignoring all the other people running away from it and it just slowly walked to Ren's dad and fucked off after it was done killing him. I'm more inclined to believe now that the more powerful grimm tend to seclude themselves and wait for prey off the assumption that what i say is true about the Nuck. I think Salem is having the real powerful grimm hide underground and avoid conflict so that they just slowly dot the landscape, allowing something such as a city invasion much easier.

TL;DR: I think the nuckelavee is compelled to kill everyone who tried to fight it, Rens dad tried to kill it and failed, so it came to his house and collected its due. Salem hiding the stronger grimm so that she can destroy a main city easier.

I believe that competing about who lost more is silly as if only the person who has lost more is allowed to grieve so what I'm going to say next won't be about that.

Objectively I do think Ruby has lost more with seeing Pyrrha die, Penny and her team disbanding. Ironically however and from the perspective of the watcher, Jaune has the chance to lose the most because we know what's happening with _WBY and Renora. Genre savviness dictates WBY will never die and they'll get back together. Renora isn't as lucky. There's also the fact that from our perspective, Ruby and Penny only interacted for such a short time and she and Pyrrha didn't really interact that much so she's not as invested. "Tell, don't show" is coming back to bite the writers in the ass.

Best Grimm design and reveal by far.
The Grimm so far have been rather "average." Wolves, big-ass birds, scorpions, so on. The important Grimm have been kinda flat too. The Beringel was just a big gorilla, the water dragon was rather generic, and after the big dragon not that impressive. The one on top of Beacon had a good design, but it was so enormous that actually facing it really never was an option, and really, dragons can be found in every other franchise.
But this? We had just seen hoofprints of it for the past season. Then we hear a distant scream.
The buildup for the reveal was long, with the whole village falling down without it being shown, and when finally we get a glimpse of it, it's actually terrifying.
It's not just a warped animal, but an uncomfortable combination of an animal and a humanoid, and one we KNOW that the characters are going to have to fight.

Thinking about it (mainly because I love monster hunter/shadow of the colossus), there's a sense of wonder in fighting colossi that can't be reproduced in a world where almost everyone is CUHRAZZZY with their agility and ninja flip moves like they were flying. Sun/Blake/Ruby almost flying around would feel off in a fight with something that gigantic. Though this isn't to say it's impossible to make it work (Monty's nevermore fight was good). Just that there's also a different appeal when everyone's grounded and the enemy is HUGE.
