PUNISHER STORYTIME
Over the course of this year I will be storytiming a fucking fuckload of Punisher comics. Probably at least one per week. Mostly focusing on pre-Ennis stuff, but possibly with some Ennis or post-Ennis stories.
Today we're going to be reading the early issues of Punisher's first solo ongoing. These were written by the best comics writer ever, Mike Baron (Nexus, Badger, Charles Barkley vs. Godzilla), and drawn by one of the most underrated comics artists ever, Klaus Janson (aka "the guy who inked every 80s/90s Frank Miller comic"). I'm not sure how many issues I'm going to post. I'll probably just keep going until I feel like stopping.
Anyway, let's do this.

Also, I might be will to take requests for future Punisher storytimes, so if there's anything you'd like to read just name it and I'll take it into consideration.

I've noticed that Punisher really likes the "using a dead body as a shield" tactic. He's done that about a bazillion times.
And entire unrelated to that, this page also shows how consistently he's written with always taking drug money from the dealers he kills.
>>89315421

Cindy is dense, even if she did peg Frank as a vigilante.
That little wisp of hair on Alfred's hair makes him seem a little more like a villain in the Punisher's version of events, but he doesn't actually ACT any different in the scene that overlaps the issue. That's solid continuity(?); most of these stories with two or more perspectives have at least one detail that's off between them, and most of the time it's just a sloppy mistake.

Literally nonstop 10/10 action sequences with constant plot twists that are ACTUALLY surprising and one of the coldest portrayals of The Punisher ever and some of the most perfect characterizations PLUS one of the most emotionally hard hitting gut punch endings in any Marvel comic in history. Fucking 10/10 shit from start to finish, no fucking brakes.
