I believe that cadence is perfect for Logans more prophetic comments. The rest of the time he's a snarling beast ripping through shit. A loud growl with his loud comments would make for a good Logan.

This scene reminds me of Logan, with a slight adjustment he could be talking to Kurt while Pete and a hurt Kitty are locked in a trap. The group is new, inexperienced, and Corporal James-Logan aka Canada to prove his worth to a group of mutants who have all protected themselves before the Team.

Daken is introduced as an Avenger, a few subtle hints like Tony Stark calling him "bub" sarcastically, Steve mentioning knowing his Father, Fury commenting on his attitude.
Or skip him being a villain entirely and just re-write him as Fury's trained dog, who enjoys it.
