Gag cartoons is what basically dominated and had the most wide spread influence in not just the west but the whole damn world.

I wouldn't be able to explain why these cartoons have slowly died down but I guess it's a mix lower costs on animations (not Hannah Barbara low but lowish) and the new influx of cartoon creators wanting their work to be more story and continuity driven,

That said Gumball is one of the best gag cartoons I've seen.

I thought about it, but it looks like complete garbage with the ratings to back it up. I'm usually willing to give any show 2-3 episodes but even from the clips I've seen it doesn't look like it'd interest me.
