That kind of course correction is something you don't see from Sony,Fox,WB or the MCU.

The only person who routinely gave him that advice was Wellsobard, who was conditioning him as for his own malicious intent. It was a speedster coaching another (rookie) speedster. The advice he gets from his gallery these days are technical advice, or POV advice as Barry rarely sees the bigger, clearer picture from the thick of the fight. It's Joe and Iris telling him to be careful and level headed. It's Cisco advising him to take advantage of electronic hazards or near by opportunities based off of futuristic tech. It's Caitlin advising him of his biological condition and or that of the meta he's facing. It's HR pushing him to think outside the box and do other things than just goesfast.

The forensics stuff has been cut back but the main thrust is he shouldn't need a support team, between his enhanced 'super learning/speed reading' and his forensic background..why would he need anyones help? really? forensics deals specifically with crime related evidence and collection methodologies.
