Okay, let's try this.

In the near future, science happens and a nightmare universe leaks into ours. People exposed to breaches for too long mutate, ranging from concealable skin conditions to becoming full on monsters.

The series follows a crew of high-tech private exterminators in armor as they hunt down supernatural threats to the struggling civilization. I guess an alternative and tame(r) version would be a Lackadaisy mini-series. Something based around the speakeasy during it's glory days, main character's past events, and shortened like the DC Nation cartoons. An example would be Mitzi-May's inappropriate sense of humor; but it could be based primarily around events that featured and/or influenced her inappropriate actions and behavior along with her sense of humor. Another example could be revealing Mordecai's older missions as a hired gun. But like I said, it's a tame(r) idea, so sadly he wouldn't do anything thats completely over the top compared to the comic version. The inappropriate humor could fly over the children's heads easily, but maybe some of the parents might find it amusing.

The animation? Send it off to a competent French animation studio. Korea is mediocre, Canada is lazy and ugly, Japan is overrated(even the famous studios), Brazil is scary, and Mexico is alright . France is the only logical option for 2D animation. But then again, who would handle the stories and script? Tracy would be too busy obviously.

TL;DR
Create a Lackadaisy mini-series based around each major character's past event(s) and the speakeasy itself. Throw money at any competent France animation studio. It'll never happen, but I'm bored, so whatever.

It gets even harder because he likes being with her nearly at all times, and his habit of constantly licking anyone new makes it nearly impossible to hide.

Later plots would be the sighting of more of the cute lil' fellas; one where they capture it and all its friends, but they rescue them.

The plot twist is: When they rescue him, he finishes the device, but it turns out he was greenlighting an invasion of huge, trained behemoth versions of it to take over the earth.

I kinda wish it wasn't the result of fetish-y thoughts, because i think i'd actually watch it.

OK, to make this mainstream AND kid friendly: You got these monsters that eat people. But the "good guy" is a cute monstergirl that eats other monsters instead of people. Maybe as she does, she absorbs their powers Kirby-style.

To make this actually appeal to kids instead of just kid-friendly: Protag is a normal guy. Middle/High School age. He's friends with the monstergirl and could be her moral compass. Maybe she's even a student with him, able to disguise herself as a normal person, and he's her guide to humanity.

A few issues arrive with how grimdark the show can be. Do people eaten by the bad monsters stay dead or does the monstergirl find a way to bring them back?
