Season 2 was right when it began to find it's footing.

basically it gets better and better once it tones down the political shit, then it sort of waxes and wanes, but the TBS seasons are surprisingly good, with just one or two really solid thuds in between some of the best episodes

The episodes start OK, get INCREDIBLE around the mid to late seasons, then sharply fall off during the TBS transition. They recover again shortly after, though.
