His magic is a mystical energies from another reality, but it can be understood (to an extent) by human scientists and be combined with technology.

I feel like in general Marvel magic's most consistent aspect is "it works because it's Magic." Sort of a narrative thing when you think about it. It works because the story says it does. Or alternatively, doesn't work because of the story.

I can get that but there are specific internally-consistent mechanics to the various subdivisions. It's a lot more structured than say DC, where you can do whateverthefuck whereverthefuck wheneverthefuck.

There was even an arc where scientists kidnapped him and couldn't figure shit out.
And by combined with tech do you just mean the Ghosting up vehicles? Because that's a relatively recent thing, the OG's cycle would be conjured out of thin air and Ketch's cycle was literally the source of his powers.
