Got to remember that if the original "layout" came about, Pyrrha would have been dead by about Spring 2014. That's what so much of V1 was initially written to focus on their dynamic, since they needed fans to give a shit when she died.

I mean, I doubt Glynda was going to be some big player in the story, but as a member of the Ozluminati, I imagine she maybe had a few moments planned that'll probably be passed along to Qrow/Ironwood/Other.

My favourite is the fact that none of the writers/actors actually gave any shits about Penny, they just played it up in order to get the fans invested in her as a character, in order to draw a response when she died.

Seriously, she might as well have not existed how quickly they moved on from her, both in and out of the show.

Basically all of Qrow's actual personality comes from M&K, not Monty, and Miles said in the V3 commentary that Qrow was by far his favourite new character to write for. They definitely have a boner for Ironwood too though, and Glynda's gotten so shafted they didn't even make her a Maya model
