Just looked it up, I was the same age as most of the cast when it came out.

It was okay. It wasn't an absolutely horrible cartoon, but it really wasn't a great one, but for what it was, it was good.

That and lets face it, Rugrats was going to shit by the time All Grown up came out.

Would be neat to see some kind of series with them as fully grown adults, but with most of the cast already dead, there's no real point.

Quite boring honestly. It kind of worked as a one-off Rugrats TV special but it should have never been a full TV series. But given the ridiculously high ratings for the pilot, it made sense Nickelodeon would try to cash in on it.

I watched a couple episodes of Rugrats, and I can say that after Dill, the series quality went pretty much slightly down hill, and after the second movie (Which was pretty good I might add) it was already beginning to become more and more crappy.

Exactly, AoStH was funny, had good writing, a good art direction and most of it worked, Satam was also pretty good, but Underground was just an awful cringefest with shitty music which had almost no reason to exist other than to grab money, which it failed miserably to do.

i never understood all the dislike for this show. granted, it didn't have the same charm or whimsical touch that the original show had, but I never found myself struggling to watch it back then.

I guess one common complaint was that the kids were pretty much around 11 to 12 years old and acted like they were in highschool, which makes sense, but I don't think the show is shit for that, even if it's confusing to see a bunch of people that should be acting like kids end up acting like teenagers.

I guess that leads into the whole "It's just another teen drama" complaint, because practically everything in the 2000's was a teen drama. All Grown up was definitely not something amazing, but honestly, it had it's charm and it's moments, it's definitely not a horrible piece of shit that everyone makes it out to be.

And again, the last 2 seasons or so of Rugrats were pretty much shit, and I'd say way worse than All Grown Up, though All Grown Up had some pretty shitty TV movies.
