Anytime a director watches one movie then makes the EXACT SAME FUCKING THING only with different names and capes. Yea, I will say they took from it.

It is undeniable that they took a look at the charm of Watchmen and imitated that entirely through use of the music. Which was a huge aspect of the original story being a period piece. GotG on the other hand had absolutely fucking nothing to do with 70 era music or culture in any way, being a story taking place in outer space. It was a shameless ripoff of a movie that worked to better enhance something that was a low quality shat together mess in the first place. And each time MCU does that I will definitely call them out for it.
