The show will be a year old in January. I've been in every thread made for a new episode, and many of the random ones that were made in-between. A lot of people have taken a bit shit on it, but I like it. It's nowhere near as childish as I thought it would be. They are genuinely trying, and for some reason, its episodes are actually 22 minutes long, which is something even Adventure Time and Regular Show can't say.

The show's most successful threads were in the beginning. The Jasiri episode got several long threads, and one reached 500 posts. As the season went on, the threads became less and less active. The one for the episode they aired near Halloween didn't even get a dozen posts before it died.

The Zira episode brought interest back, and since then, these threads have been doing better. Will this carry over into next year? I'm skeptical. Next episode is on January 13th, and after that, there will only be one episode left in season one before season two premieres.

It's the sacrifice they make so that most of the herd stays safe. The tradeoff is in the Pridelands only a certain amount of predators are allowed to live and hunt within it's boundaries. That's the whole 'circle of life' deal. It's a mutual respect for the fact that yes, the predators will hunt and eat some of the prey, but they keep the populations in check instead of eating fucking everything like the 'big bad hyenas'. If they lived outside of the pridelands NONE of them would be protected. Young animals don't get hunted either, so it's a good place to raise up the herd. There's also a lot better options for food and shelter as it's more lush than other areas of the savannah. It isn't ideal but it's better than scrounging for food somewhere else not knowing if your entire herd will be wiped out by hyenas.

Without question it would be better. When writing for toddlers by default you almost have to talk down with them since they don't know much about anything.
